Course Overview
Neurodiversity is a way of describing and embracing differences in people, how people think, process information and express emotions. Neurodiversity focuses on reducing stigmas, embracing individuality and creating an inclusive and accepting environment.
This training course will describe the meaning of neurodiversity, how to recognise neurodiversity, discuss the six principles of inclusion, describe how neurodivergence impacts thinking and communication and consider neurodivergent qualities, strengths and approaches to success.

- 4.1Confirm the six principles strategy of promoting neurodivergence
- 4.2Describe ways of promoting understanding and awareness of neurodivergence
- 4.3Consider adaptations which can be made to create inclusion
- 4.4Identify key principles of maintaining a positive approach to neurodivergence
- 4.5Explain the meaning and importance of a ‘whole organisation approach’ to neurodiversity
